about Peter Thomas

After a successful musical career, followed by 5 years working in an environmental field centre, maintaining and developing a 4 1/2 acres garden, Peter returned to academic life. At Writtle College he was awarded a B.Sc (hons) in Landscape & Garden Design.

Peter is an ex-chairman of the Society of Garden Designers (SGD) which is the professional body for garden designers in the UK. He continues to work in helping to raise the profile of garden design in this country and abroad, lecturing and giving presentations on a wide range of related subjects.

Peters illustrations and designs have been used in a number of publications including 'The Garden Design Journal', 'Natural Swimming Pools' by Michael Littlewood, and 'The Encyclopedia of Garden Design' published by DK on behalf of the Royal Horticultural Society (RHS).
