Beautiful gardens have an atmosphere and identity which is in tune with their clients needs.

My priority is to create individual designed gardens which convey a sense of belonging to the client rather than simply a clever garden design layout imposed on a space. A successful garden design will also bring out the best in what is existing in the location whether it be a large estate or the smallest of courtyards.

Every project begins and ends with you the client and I will spend some time listening to you and ensuring that we are on the right track. My initial proposals are always discussed with you in detail and your feedback is part of the refinement of the garden design.

I take special care and pay close attention to the detail of each project and often take many photos to ensure that existing features are at my fingertips throughout the design process. Over the years, I have undertaken hundreds of design projects and wherever possible (travel times notwithstanding ) I have endeavoured to be intimately involved in gathering the survey information. In cases where this is impractical, the quality of survey material provided will greatly aid the design process and I will give guidance how this may be best achieved.

I believe that good landscape and garden design requires not just flare but a sound foundation of knowledge and experience. With that in mind I continue to enrich my years of practical experience with appropriate training. In addition to holding a BSc. (hons) Landscape & Garden Design, I have been awarded the professional status of M.S.G.D. (Registered Member of the Society of Garden Designers) and am a registered designer member of BALI ( British Association of Landscape Industries ).

Although the majority of my consultation and design work is carried out in the environs of London and Hertfordshire, I have successfully undertaken commissions internationally and in 1998 pioneered the use of the internet as a medium for providing a Garden Design Service.

I have successfully exhibited at the Chelsea Flower Show, BBC Gardeners World and additionally write and teach in the use of modern technology within the garden design process. However, the process of building a garden from initial contact with the client to correct advice on maintenance is my specialty.

Ultimately, it is the beautiful garden which will enhance a wonderful outdoor living extension to your lifestyle.
